History and Governance
Founded in 1948, the DeMolay Foundation is responsible for soliciting and granting funds to support DeMolay International. The DeMolay Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity governed by a nine-member volunteer board of trustees, each of whom serves a term of three years. The Foundation provides educational materials, awards scholarships to DeMolays in higher education, offers leadership training, manages special projects, and supports the DeMolay International Service & Leadership Center.
How the DeMolay Foundation Supports DeMolay International and Local Chapters
The DeMolay Foundation’s major yearly initiative focuses on fulfilling Dad Land’s dream of awarding scholarships to worthy DeMolays pursuing higher education.
Gifts to the DeMolay Foundation underwrite a variety of new and existing programs and services that benefit members. In addition, funding from the DeMolay Foundation ensures current and future volunteer leaders are properly trained, equipped, and assisted.
Your support helps DeMolay International maintain the Henry E. “Hank” Stickney International Service & Leadership Center, headquarters and administrative hub of DeMolay International. This multi-purpose building is used for meetings, training sessions, and the preservation and displaying of historical artifacts from DeMolay’s storied history. The building is also home to Frank Land’s office, and features memorabilia and personal items of Dad Land.
