Edward T. Schafer

Edward T. Schafer

Secretary of Agriculture

DeMolay provided an arena for me to develop my personal expressions of faith when it wasn't "cool" to do so among the young men my age.  I also have grown to realize that committing to a common set of values allowed me to understand other views and to interact with a broad range of people better.  The interpersonal skills and leadership qualities that were developed within the structures of DeMolay have served me well through my private business and public service careers.
