Mental Health Awareness (8/10/2018)

Mental health issues have recently been brought our attention, leading us to become more aware of how these issues can plague young men of DeMolay age. Because of this, developing an understanding of how to appropriately address and combat these issues can help your chapter make a meaningful impact on your members. It’s estimated that 1 in 5 teenagers between the age of 13 and 18 struggle to overcome mental health issues every year. As we seek to develop better young men and better leaders, it is important that we take due notice of this issue which can harm our members and their friends every day. Below, you will find several resources for Active DeMolays, Advisors and Parents to help start conversations about mental health awareness and find ways to help those who are struggling to fight depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses. This is by no means an exhaustive list, and we encourage you to do further research on ways that you can help your chapter take care of its members.
